Kamalanagar  Cooperative Society Limited, Chawngte RD Block

Under the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), three RD Blocks have been allotted for the formation of FPO in Lawngtlai District. One of which is implemented in Chawngte RD Block where two villages were covered for the project. The FPO was registered as Cooperative Society on 3rd April 2023 by the name Kamalanagar Cooperative Society Ltd. having its office at Kamalanagar.

A variety of pulses will be promoted for this project where farmers will be most benefited. Pulses provide protein, fiber, and essential nutrients, promote heart health, aid digestion, and contribute to sustainable agriculture which will lead to a sustained FPO.

Sanction amount - Rs. 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs only)
