Pangkhua and Sangau villages were selected for this project with Sangau as the registered office address. The FPO was registered as Cooperative Society on 31st March 2023 by the name Sangau Block  Cooperative Society Ltd.

Elephant Yam is selected as the major crop as most of the farmers already indulge in the production. More production of Elephant yam is expected with the convergence of various departments and institutions.

Elephant yam, rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals, offers numerous health benefits. It aids in digestion, promotes weight management, controls blood sugar levels, boosts immune function, supports heart health, improves bone strength, and provides antioxidants that combat inflammation and oxidative stress in the body.
